Conference Marathon

What a great weekend! We had so much fun! It started out on Friday with Grandma getting her mission call to the Family and Church History department-general church office building in SLC. We are very excited for her and extremely amazed that she leaves so soon--May 2nd. She plans on leaving in two weeks so that she can attend Aaron and Matt's graduations.

Friday afternoon Grandma and Ryan arrived from Seattle and that night we watched the first DVD of "Horatio Hornblower". Dad and I have seen the movies and we love them! The Eliasons gave us the set for Christmas and we will be forever grateful. If you haven't ever seen them, it is a must. We are planning to watch the entire 8 movie set with the Eliasons soon.

Saturday and Sunday were spent watching conference and 'feasting on the word' We enjoyed being together and-of course-we feasted far to much on food for the body too. Sunday our good friends the Eliasons came over and we spent the day together. We started off with the traditional Belgium Waffle/strawberry/banana/whipped cream and sausage breakfast and ended with the traditional Stroganoff that had been cooking all day in the crock-pot. We figured we have been doing this for 10 years now. Our numbers have changed--we didn't have Aaron, Jason, Matt, or Eric. Next time we will have the newest and littlest Eliason as he will be born at or around April 15th. Kyle was with us though--he is recovering from breaking his arm while riding a mountain bike in Utah.

Grandma and Ryan left after dinner. It was good to have them both here and it wasn't until later that I realized that Grandma won't be visiting my home again for 18 months. That made me sad; but I am happy for her.

Sounds like the weekend went well! Isn't conference weekend great? :) Aaron and I also feasted on great food. Probably a little too much, but that's conference weekend tradition, right? :)
