The week started off with a visit from Clarissia and Beth. We had a lot of fun and they both enjoyed getting to know Josh.
Saturday was a beautiful day and we got up (Far too early! We had gotten to bed at 1 AM after arriving home from Sammamish and got up at 7:15 AM!) and went boating with Mel and his friend on Lackamas Lake. The girls had a great time on the tube and Clarissia loved to wakeboard.
Sunday was also a beautiful day, however then the good weather went south. We had rain, thunder and lightening on Monday.
We had planned to go blueberry picking but that was nixed. We did play 'Bang' though. I worked the next two days and the g
irls were intertained by Matt and Katherine. Wednesday the rest of the Kammeyers--John, Anne, Titus and Ginny joined us. It was fun to have 10 people at the house. One of the memorable events was scripture reading on Matt and Katherine's bed. Also, Beth celebrated her 13th birthday with us--Happy Birthday, Beth! Note to self: When buying cake, read ingredients and make sure there is no word 'coffee' in the small print. This cake was thrown out.
*sigh*
John and Anne took the kids to the Aquatic Center in Clackamas on Thursday where they had a lot of fun swimming. Friday the girls went shopping in Vancouver--TAX FREE! We enjoyed 'The Fashion Bug', 'Pluto's Closet' and 'Steve and Barry's'. That night Anne, John, and myself spent a relaxing evening while James, Matt and Katherine took Clarissia, Beth, Titus and Ginny boating out on the Columbia River. Above: Titus, Clarissia and Ginny. Left: Clarissia, wakeboarding.
Saturday and Sunday were hectic because Grandpa ended up in the ER and then ICU because of bleeding. Grandpa is doing better now, and the Kammeyer's are back home. We are glad they came down and we enjoyed their visit very much.
