Bend Oregon

We left this morning early from Gresham for the three hour drive to Mt. Bachelor to ski; we had never skied here before. We arrived a little after 10 AM and skied until 4 PM. We rode the chair to the very top of the mountain and after enjoying a spectacular view we headed down the mountain. The snow was magnificent and the temperature was warm. It was a great run and we hurried over to the chair and rode it to the top once again. As we got off the chair we noticed the clouds and fog rolling in below us just over the ridge. We started our run and found the clouds and fog were chasing us down the mountain! The air turned decidedly chillier and the wind picked up. After that the rides up on the chair were quite cold, but as we made our way down the mountain it was not bad at all. It was a good day!

We drove to Rennie's place in Bend afterwards and had dinner and then settled around the pellet stove to enjoy the heat and watch 'Master and Commander'.
