James and I flew to Salt Lake on Thursday May 29th and took a taxi to Grandma Conger's apartment to stay the night with her. She lives in a basement apartment that although small, is nicely furnished and close to the church office building where she is serving her mission. On Friday we walked with Grandma to temple square taking in some of the sights. Later, we met up with Matt and Katherine and Grandma took us all out to lunch in the basement of the church office building. It was a nice lunch. Grandma was working the afternoon shift in the Church History Center and we said 'goodbye' to her there.
Matt and Katherine took us back to Provo where we met up with Aaron and Lauren and all of us, along with Mary went to Bombay House for dinner. This seems to be one of our favorite spots in Provo. After dinner we drove back to Aaron and Lauren's where we all played 'Bang'. James and I stayed the night with Aaron and Lauren.
Saturday we worked moving Matt and Katherine. Katherine was so organized that we did not have to do that much. The truck showed up, we loaded it up and by afternoon we were headed north. Here are some pictures of the move.
All of us having a bite to eat out on Matt and
Katherine's deck.
This is Matt and Katherine after everything was loaded up in the truck. A last picture of them in their first home. A picture of Aaron's wife Lauren taking a peak out the back of the U-Haul before closing the door.
The U-Haul that Matt and James took turns driving home to Portland. Matt and Katherine's apartment is on the top left.
Matt and Katherine getting ready to drive away. We said 'goodbye' to Aaron and Lauren and James, myself, Matt and Katherine drove to Boise where we stayed the night. The next day we drove on to Portland. Matt and Katherine will be staying with us until they get jobs and find a home of their own.
